Большинство людей узнали о Линкин Парк после композиции "Ближе На Один Шаг" [One Step Closer]. Смесь хип-хопа, рока и электронных сэмплов преподносит Линкин Парк в новом цвете, особо выделяясь из серой толпы новых рок-групп - их стиль уникален. Это одно из их лучших качеств. Это такой тип музыки, слушая которую, большинство людей наслаждаются - ей невозможно сопротивляться - твое тело будет прыгать под ритмичный бит. Удивительно, но Линкин Парк сделали этот шаг к верхушкам мировых чартов при помощи очень сильных текстов без какой-либо профанации. А так как сейчас очень напряженное время в музыкальной индустрии, то очень сложно - найти такую группу, которая бы вскоре стала удачной. Линкин Парк в этом смысле - просто раритет. Старое название группы - Xer0 (затем было сменено на Hybrid Theory), сейчас мы называем их Linkin Park, смена названия группы связана с тем, чтобы избежать различных сопаставлений с другими группами с такими же названиями.
